PT. Anugerah Bumi Cemerlang (ABC) is a general trading, exporter and developer company in Indonesia that has been operating more than 30 years. It has been established in 1976 under CV Barata that started the business as general contractor and also manufacturing building materials. Most of the construction project that has been done are roads and dams in Central Java under the Indonesian Department of Public Works (Dept. PU). In 1994 we started manufacturing and exporting activated carbon from Klaten – Central Java and in 2003 we were able to build another factory and started to manufacture charcoal (granular coconut shell).
In the middle of 2005 we managed to broaden our business and we have been started our export delivery in 2007 right after we managed to fulfil the capacity and quantity required by our buyers from China Mainland, South Korea, Europe and Australia. We are now expanding our product diversity to comply with customer’s demands and requirements and to gradually improve our quality of services and the products we deliver.
CHARCOAL » the blackish residue consisting of impure carbon obtained by removing water and other volatile constituents from animal and vegetation substances. It is usually produced by heating wood, coconut shell, or other substances in the absence of oxygen (a certain kind of half-burnt wood). The soft, brittle, lightweight, black, porous material resembles coal and is 75% to 90% carbon with the remainder consisting of volatile chemicals and ash.
ACTIVATED CARBON » manufactured from coconut shell charcoal, which is a form of carbon that has been processed to make it extremely porous and thus to have a very large surface area available for adsorption or chemical reactions. The word activated in the name is sometimes substituted by active. Due to its high degree of microporosity, just one gram of activated carbon has a surface area of approximately 500 m², as determined typically by nitrogen gas adsorption. Sufficient activation for useful applications may come solely from the high surface area, though further chemical treatment often enhances the adsorbing properties of the material. Activated carbon is usually derived from charcoal.
COCONUT FIBRE (COIR) » found between the husk and the outer shell of a coconut. The individual fiber cells are narrow and hollow, with thick walls made of cellulose. Coir fibers are relatively water-proof in nature, also to the sea water, which is a distinguishable property. There are mainly two types of coir – white coir and brown coir. For processing of white coir both sea and fresh water is used, whereas for brown coir fresh water is used.
Since the year of 2000, Klaten has been rapidly growing to be the satelite of both Yogyakarta and Solo and the demand for middle-low housing was also increased. We took the opportunity and be able to supply those demands by developing Permata Gayamsari residential in early 2004 on 5.000 sqm land area in Klaten in 2 different types of specifications, 45/80 and 57/100 (house space/land space), and priced ranging from Rp.100 to Rp.130 million per unit.
In November 2007, we continued to develop another residential called Permata Sumbersari, a medium small residential located on about 4.500 sqm land area in Klaten with more than 25 house units, also in 2 different types, 57/100 and 67/120. Currently we are planning to develop another residential to meet the demand in exclusive or middle up markets.
